This upcoming Spring 2017 Semester I will be offering the course, “Urban Precarity”, through the Urban Studies Department at Queens College. This course will focus on cultivating a deep and complex understanding of the emerging term, ‘precarity’, with a specific focus on understanding how precarity takes place for the myriad of residents living in NYC. A large part of this class will focus on how current trends in housing and community development entrench precarity for certain populations in NYC through a case study that focuses on the Bronx.

A broader description of the digital research project can be found here. To learn more about the context for this project, visit this resource page, or the Bronx Coalition for a Community Vision on the web at: work: http://www.bronxcommunityvision.org/
